ROAD ANGEL NAVIGATOR FUNCTIONAL USER INTERFACE UPDATE

Overview
The new Road Angel Navigator Functional User Interface (FUI) displays camera and safety alert information in a different way.  It also allows a Map free display if you are not in navigation mode, whilst still showing current speed and time, compass heading, satellite signal strength and battery level indicator.

In addition, irrespective if you are in navigation mode, a colour coded alert system indicates if you are exceeding the posted speed limit at Safety Camera locations using a Green / Red alert background.  Green if you are below, and red if you are exceeding the posted limit.

Switching between views

In Navigation or Map mode, press the M button on the right hand panel and then select SWITCH

In FUI mode press the NAV button. 

Alerts to Mobile Safety Camera Van locations
The updated FUI, when used in conjunction with the latest version of the update software v3.21.0 UK, (click here to jump to the download section), your Road Angel Navigator will provide directional alerts for all known mobile enforcement locations.

The alert will not count up as normal using the proximity bars on the left, instead an instant alert is given that starts 500M from the alert point, this approach has been taken to take into account the fact that the location of the van can vary slightly on a day to day basis.

To download and install the FUI upgrade program, we recommend you open and print the ‘Download and Install instructions’ by clicking on the link below. The upgrade program also requires Active-Sync, therefore we recommend you install the program on the same PC used to carry your updates.
