How do I update Road Angel?

Connect your Road Angel to a serial port if Road Angel Serial Number starts 0000xxxx or 000xxxxx or a USB port if your serial number starts 001xxxxx.

Double-Click on the correct icon on the desktop. If you do not have an icon on your desktop click here to jump to the downloads page.
For serial numbers starting 0000xxxx or 000xxxxx the icon is black

For serial numbers starting 001xxxxx the icon is blue

In the bottom right hand corner of your screen another Road Angel Icon will appear in the taskbar.

Connect to the Internet via your own connection

Right mouse click on the correct icon.
Select if you want update ‘Cameras & Blackspots’ or just ‘Cameras’

NB: Selecting ‘Cameras’ will remove all of the Blackspot alerts from your Road Angel . You can restore them by selecting ‘Cameras & Blackspots’ and carrying out another update.

To update your unit click on Synchronise.
